Fraternity requires doing your share to keep yourself and your brothers healthy. In an effort to promote healthy behaviors among its members, Pi Kappa Phi is raising awareness about testicular cancer to encourage monthly self-examinations and to foster early diagnosis and treatment among our brothers.
Did you know?
Testicular cancer is most frequently diagnosed in men between
the ages of 20 and 34. In fact, testicular cancer is the most
common type of cancer for men between the ages of 15 and 35.
If left untreated the disease can spread through the lymph
nodes to the lungs, brain, liver and bones in as little as
four months and is potentially fatal. However, when detected
early, survival rates are as high as 99 percent.
This disease is a critical concern for undergraduate and alumni members. With these simple steps, you can keep yourself and your brothers healthy:
• Test Yourself
• Learn More
• Spread Awareness
